The Ashmolean is the University of Oxford’s museum of art and archaeology, founded in 1683. World famous collections range from Egyptian mummies to contemporary art, telling human stories across cultures and across time.
Offering FREE ADMISSION. Open every day except Monday (10am to 5 pm).
Special events in July include a range of activities inspired by the summer exhibition – Storms War and Shipwrecks.
There is a charge for some special exhibitions for example ‘Treasures from the Sicilian Seas’.
