Prices are quoted in pounds sterling. VAT is not applicable and hence not payable.
Payment (including Deposit)
A deposit equivalent to the tariff of your ‘First Night’ will be taken 2 weeks prior to the start of your stay (non refundable but do read cancellation policy below). Any delay to the receipt of your deposit will put your reservation at risk. We will work with you to ensure your reservation is not put at risk. The deposit can be made by debit/credit card or by bank transfer (it is the guest’s responsibility to pay the transfer costs). The reservation is not confirmed until the deposit is received, but the reservation is secure between booking date and the period to 14 days prior to arrival. Adequate time must be given to complete the deposit process. Can be up to 4 days if by bank transfer. The balance is then payable on arrival by debit/credit card or in cash. Alternatively payment by bank transfer (it is the guest’s responsibility to pay the transfer costs) is fine but at least 4 working days before arrival. In all cases your stay with us must be paid for prior to departure.
If you booking is made through an ‘Online Travel Agent’ such as Booking.com or Expedia (or affiliates) their deposit terms may differ from ours (should not be the case). We will do our best to ensure equivalence but please check the terms and condition of you booking if through an ‘Online Travel Agent’. Our expectation, and your obligations to us are to be paid following rules for direct bookings.
Please let us know, by email or telephone, as soon as possible after you have decided to cancel a booking. We do not take a deposit prior to 14 days before your arrival date. So we do need your help in letting us know, as soon as it is apparent, that you wish to cancel your booking. Hence cancellation is free up until 14 days prior to your arrival. Your deposit (see above) will be taken 14 days prior to your arrival and is non refundable. That said, we will endeavour to give a refund (less transaction costs if by bank transfer) if notice is less than 14 days but only if we can re-let the room. Should you wish to change your booking dates, subject to availability, we will always try to accommodate your needs.
In the case of both deposits and cancellations we will always work with you to minimize the risk of any financial loss should your plans change. We hope you will do the same for us and not make bookings that are provisional (we appreciate plans change) and are perhaps unlikely to happen.
If for an unforeseen circumstance oxfordbnb have no alternative but to cancel a booking, a full refund will be given if suitable alternative accommodation of a similar type and standard cannot be found.
Arrival / Departure
Unless agreed otherwise ‘Check in’ is after 2:00pm. ‘Check out’ is before 11:00am (if you wish you can leave your bags and/or car for the day and collect later).
Guest property and car parking
Guests must take full responsibility (Oxfordbnb accept no liability) in the unlikely event of loss or damage to your property (including cars).
All rooms can be locked (you will have a key to your room), and will only be accessed for cleaning & essential maintenance. Cars generally can be parked off road (due care must be taken when parking) in the frontage to our B&B. On occasions if this is not possible cars can be parked in the cul-de-sac fronting the B&B.
Delivered via cable TV on a home based wireless network (unsecure) hence there is occasionally loss of connection. We will always try & have the network online but it is not guaranteed to be available at all times.
